Seasonal events

Every so often, the game adds a set of quests that only runs for a few weeks. They're free, and every player gets them.

Plate IHow events work

Extra quests, on a clock.

  1. They come to you

When an event starts, its quests turn up in the Weekly tab of your Quests screen. There's nothing to join and nothing to buy.

  2. They count down

Each event quest shows how long is left. Finish it and tap Claim before time runs out: when the event ends, its quests go with it.

  3. Catches roll as usual

Event catches go into your collection and roll for rarity like any other. The quests pay XP, and sometimes streak freezes, on top.

The Evergreen Hunt

December 11, 2026 to January 10, 2027

Catch pines, firs, spruces and more to clear three holiday quests. Finish them before the hunt ends for bonus XP.

Nothing here yet. The Evergreen Hunt is the first event, and it moves here when it ends on January 10, 2027.

Plate IVThe next one

Hear when an event starts.

In the game

If you're 13 or older and have notifications on, turn on Seasonal Events in Profile, then Settings. You'll get news of events and holiday hunts. It starts off, and you can turn it off again any time.

On the App Store

Events show on PocketPetal's App Store page before they start. The Evergreen Hunt is there from December 4, a week ahead.

A note on plant names. PocketPetal is a game. Plant names come from image recognition and are often wrong. Never eat, touch or use a plant because of what the app says.
